The Use of Structured Role Play Therapy in the Remediation of Grammatical Deficits in Language Delayed Children: Three Case StudiesSouthwest Texas State University San Marcos, TX
The University of Toledo Toledo, OH A method of language therapy has been developed in which role play procedures have been modified to allow a high degree of clinical control in programming client production and practice of specific linguistic target structures. The effectiveness of this procedure in facilitating acquisition and maintenance of selected grammatical target structures by three children with moderate language delay is reported. Results indicate this procedure is effective in achieving the targeted clinical goals.
