The Normal Velopharyngeal MechanismUniversity of Miami Analysis and integration of research on patterns of motion, muscle biomechanics, and physiologic evidence related to normal velopharyngeal function is presented. The status of current research from the standpoint of what is known, what is presumptive, and what is unknown is emphasized.
